Kharkiv is in ruins. Its people are in hiding, its buildings are broken, and its future is uncertain.

Imagine if you had seconds to choose what you take from home as gunshots ring loud behind your back. Imagine your child, your parent, your spouse in the line of fire. 

We cannot begin to share with you the horrific realities these families are facing, as they are forced to flee with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Homes are being bombed. Missiles and artillery are indiscriminately taking lives and livelihoods.

This humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding before our eyes. It’s hard to imagine the fear, shock, and trauma of the Ukrainian people. While we cannot fathom running for our lives, we can act with compassion and bring them hope.
